The 2025 Ferrari Purosangue (Italian for "thoroughbred") is Ferrari's first-ever production four-door, four-seater vehicle. While the rest of the world calls it an SUV, Ferrari prefers the term "Ferrari Utility Vehicle" (FUV) to emphasize its sports car DNA over utilitarian roots. The Purosangue is built around a front-mid-mounted engine layout, giving it a 49:51 weight distribution-closer to a mid-engine supercar than a traditional SUV. The Engine: A naturally aspirated 6.5L V12 (F140IA). There's no turbocharging or hybridization here; it's all about pure, high-revving mechanical symphony. Power Output: It produces 715 hp (725 cv) at 7,750 rpm and 528 lb-ft of torque. Speed: 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 3.3 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 310 km/h (193 mph). Active Suspension: One of its most advanced features is the Multimatic TASV (True Active Spool Valve) system. Using 48-volt electric motors, the suspension can actively push down on the wheels to counteract body roll during cornering, eliminating the need for traditional anti-roll bars. The Purosangue stands out with its "welcome doors"-rear-hinged (suicide) doors that open electrically to an angle of 79 degrees, making entry to the rear seats much easier. Four-Seater Layout: Unlike rivals like the Lamborghini Urus, the Purosangue is a strict four-seater. It features four individual, power-adjustable, heated bucket seats. The Dual-Cockpit: There is no central infotainment screen. Instead, the driver has a massive digital cluster, and the front passenger gets their own 10.2-inch display to monitor performance data or adjust media. Eco-Friendly Materials: Much of the interior uses sustainable materials, including a headliner made from recycled polyester and carpets made from recycled fishing nets.
