New 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander SE

SE 24/30 City/Highway MPG. The highlight here is the interior, it's what sold me. It's reminiscent of a luxury brand and its materials and styling. Super happy about this. Some say the engine is a bit underpowered, but for the average driver it feels very responsive and peppy, but do agree that at higher speeds it's a bit reluctant to get going for passing at freeway speeds. After buying the car I had to go on the road trip for work and was very happy with the 30.7 miles per gallon I got with cruise control set around 72 miles an hour on mostly flat highway. The adaptive cruise control made my 3-hour drive easy and pleasant. I was not bothered by things people complain about on the CVT transmission, though it can be a bit jerky at times unless you're smooth on the gas pedal. Third row seat is kind of a joke, but put the seats down and you get more cargo space and that's a win for me. Overall, I love the car. It handles great, gets decent gas mileage and feels much more luxurious than the price tag, even on my SE model. I'm a very happy first time Mitsubishi owner/driver. Great ride, "transformer vehicle!"
