The BMW X5 provides a posh ride experience while giving you the ability to break out from comfort into an aggressive, sporty and fast ride with the touch of a button. I equipped the executive package from factory for “the looks”, and the crystal shifter has a bad reputation for looking gaudy. To me, the glass shifter sparkles so elegantly and is a constant reminder that this isn’t an average car. You don’t need to get an M competition or get the X50i to get a crazy fast and luxurious experience. I rated the build quality 3 stars since the headliner was out of place when I received delivery, the panels on the pillars are made of some kind of black fiber glass materials that looks cheap, and the speaker on the dash has a cover on it that feels like was made from recycled plastic bottles. The center console button squeaks every time I press it, this will get resolved soon since my service center agreed to replace it under warranty. Accessories and color may vary.
