Safety is a big deal. This is a big deal. The engine noise, with the small turbo, is more than I would like. The worst part is that it's "not a Buick" and does not have a Buick ride. Buick does make a "Trax" with its upgrades and calls it an Encore. If you are a "smooth ride affectionado" and are willing to pay more, I would recommend the Buick instead. For most people, who want a new car under between 21,000 and 26,000, the Trax is the best bet. It's much larger than the Nissan Kicks, which is in a similar price range. The Mazda CX5 may be a good "half way" improvement.
