The Class 8 Hino XL8 is a heavy-duty workhorse. To help your business power on, the XL8 is available as a 4x2 or 6x4 straight truck or 4x2 tractor and can be spec'd with a day cab and extended cab with room for three to five passengers. Plus, the XL8 improves upon Hino’s previous conventional models with an automotive-grade interior and a host of advanced safety features. Ideal for box, dump, snow plow, tanker, crane and refuse applications, the XL8's standard 120,000-PSI frame is among the strongest in the industry and the fully galvanized steel cab features extra rigidity for a comfortable ride and noise reduction. On the 4x2 models, the XL8 straight truck has 15 wheelbase options ranging from 152" to 304", while the 4x2 tractor features a wheelbase of either 152" or 162". The 6x4 straight truck offers eight wheelbase options ranging from 182" to 281". The XL8 comes standard with a Cummins L9 300 hp engine and has the option for either a 330 hp or 360 hp engine for even more power. The L9 is paired with an Allison 6-speed automatic transmission to produce GVWRs ranging from 34,200–60,600 lbs. and 860–1,150 lb.-ft. of torque.
