In the case of a typical head-on parking space, the system helps with driving forward, or reversing into it – while in the case of parallel parking spaces, it helps with reversing and properly parking the vehicle. And if the Active Parking Assist system has carried out the procedure for you in parking the vehicle, it also supports you in the opposite direction when leaving the space again. The sensors of the system also monitor the surroundings when maneuvering, for example in multi-story parking garages. As a part of this, the system provides visual and audible warnings of detected obstacles – so you can avoid any damage to your vehicle.
