New 2025 Ram 1500 Tradesman

The Ram 1500 comes in no less than eight different trim levels; however, drivetrain choices are straightforward. All models are available in either 4x2 or 4x4 configuration with an 8-speed automatic. The Ram 1500 offers a variety of cab and bed configurations to choose from. It features a standard coil spring rear suspension, which contributes to its smooth ride, and offers an optional adaptive air suspension on certain trims. The Ram 1500 has a maximum towing capacity around 10,000 pounds and a payload capacity of up to 2,300 pounds, depending on the engine and configuration. The Ram 1500 is powered by one of three engine configurations—a 3.6L V6 with 305 horsepower, a 3L twin turbo 6-cylinder producing 420 horsepower, and a 3L twin turbo 6-cylinder with 540 horsepower all mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The most basic Ram 1500 is the Tradesman trim. Intended mostly as a work truck, the Tradesman does without a fancy grill or exterior chrome accents. Instead, it makes do with power door locks and windows, remote keyless access, a rear-view backup camera and of course, a Uconnect system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen and Bluetooth streaming audio.
