New 2025 Subaru Solterra Premium

The Solterra is the first and currently the only battery-electric vehicle from Subaru. It is a compact crossover, which makes it roughly the same size as the Forester and part of the most popular vehicle category in the US. Its name consists of ‘sol,’ Latin for ‘sun,’ and ‘terra,’ Latin for ‘earth.’ Being a Subaru, all modes come standard with Symmetrical All-wheel drive, optimizing traction on the pavement and letting you travel confidently when the pavement ends. The latter is assisted with best-in-class ground clearance of 8.3 inches. The Solterra’s zero-emission power provides a smooth and environmentally safe drive. The model is also filled with technology and practicality. New for 2025 is the addition of the Touring Onyx Edition to the lineup, significantly boosting affordability. Its entry price is $38,495, $6,500 less than the 2024 model. The Touring model is also more affordable, with a price drop of $7,000. The Solterra is capable of up to 215 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque, making it perfect for both off-road and city driving. The impressive ground clearance allows for safer passage through those rocky trails, which is helped further by the standard Subaru X Mode system. Supplying up to a 227-mile range of drive time before recharging keeps you on the road longer on a full charge. Charging the 72.8 kWh battery pack is convenient and affordable. You can charge your vehicle at home with either Level 1 or Level 2 capability. For longer trips, DC-fast charging enables you to rise from a 10% to 80% state of charge in approximately 35 minutes. The model is rated at 102 – 104 MPGe, depending on trim.
