New 2026 Kia Sportage Hybrid X-Line

The Hybrid part is good; The Kia part is terrible. We’ve owned our Sportage HEV for 2 years. In that two years, we’ve had the car at the dealership several times for things that fall under warranty….but what fun is it to have the following replaced on a garage-kept, hand washed, meticulously maintained car: door handle replacement, headlight replacement, rear hatch lock replacement. Now that the car has 30K miles, it’s time for another headlight replacement, another door handle replacement and the turbo is malfunctioning. The dealership assures us that everything is fine but I will not be purchasing another Kia. We love the hybrid feature. We do not enjoy the lackluster sound system and terrible build quality. Eight trips to the shop to have things fixed in the first 2 years isn’t my idea of a good vehicle. Great advanced technology creates a safe reliable ride. This SX model has more safety features than my 2020 E class Benz at half the price. The handling on city roads is tight and comfortable. On the Highway it performs very well, with responding to pass other vehicles and maintains a steady cruise speed without searching gears constantly like other SUV’s I have owned. First time buying a Kia, and I’m impressed!
