Ford’s third gen pony car came for the 1979 model year. Popularly known as the Fox Body, it was built on Ford’s Fox compact car platform. While the Fox Body ‘Stang was initially considered underwhelming, it has since gained a reputation as an interesting car and a proper member of the pony club. This particular 1984 Ford Mustang SVO is a bit more exciting thanks to its zesty turbocharged engine and manual gearbox. We’re also told that all servicing is up to date, making this a great chance to get your Fox fix. The Fox Body Stang gained all-new styling courtesy of Ford’s Jack Telnack. You can see why purists didn’t immediately consider it a proper Mustang, because its styling deviated so much from the original. For example, the white body of this 1984 Ford Mustang SVO beautifully shows off the crisp-edged lines of the model, as well as highlighting its relatively smaller footprint. This car also has matching white wheels, and comes with a rear spoiler. The interior of this 1984 Ford Mustang SVO sports a very Eighties red shade for its seats. The only hint of aftermarket is the JVC radio cassette head unit. Everything else remains stock, such as the analog instrument cluster with tachometer and 85mph speedometer, the heater and ventilation fan controls, and of course, the digital clock in the center console. Next to this is an interesting display that uses LEDs to warn you of low fuel level, a depleted windshield washer bottle, and if a head or taillamp bulb is busted. You’ll also note that this 1984 Ford Mustang SVO comes with wind-up windows. Beneath the four-seat passenger cabin is a decent luggage area, accessed via the rear liftback.
