The top dog of the SL line was the 560SL which was powered by a 5.6L V8 that produced 227hp and could hit a top speed of nearly 140mph. It was smooth as butter and was mated exclusively to a silky automatic transmission. The 560SL also featured a revised rear suspension and a limited-slip differential to better handle the added torque and power. Mercedes also added anti-lock brakes, leather upholstery, and an alarm system. Today, many enthusiasts gravitate towards the 560SL as it retains some of the original lines of the pagoda SLs while carrying with it all of the R107's advances. This example is finished in Signal Red and features accenting chrome throughout the exterior. This 560SL comes with a removable hardtop and a soft top. The hardtop is in good condition and is surprisingly easy to remove. Inside the vehicle is a tan leather interior with comfortable seating for two.
