One of only 76 built for the US market in 1986, this is an ultra-rare Turbo-Look (widebody) 911 Carrera. It is presented in iconic Guards Red over a black full leather interior, and it maintains a very high level of originality. This 911 is accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity to verify that it is a factory-equipped Widebody 911, as well as ownership history back to new and the original stamped service booklet. Highly coveted for their aggressive look and high level of rarity, factory Turbo-Look Widebody (option code 491) 3.2 Carrera's very sought-after among Porsche enthusiasts. While many aftermarket companies offer a turbo-look upgraded that can be fitted to any 3.2 Carrera, factory-equipped examples are very hard to come by. Just 76 were built in 1986 for the U.S. market, and this example is #74 -- very late production for '86. The equally-desirable air-cooled 3.2L H6 engine fires and runs superbly, and is backed by the correct 5-speed manual transmission. As verified by the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this 911 originally sold for $46,572 and left Stuttgart in classic Guards Red over Black. It was equipped with the Turbo-Look Widebody, a limited slip differential, power sunroof and Blaupunkt "Monterey" AM/FM Radio with cassette player. Virtually every component is still original to this 911 -- including the leather upholstery, black Fuchs with colored wheel crests and body panels. In fact, the only deviations from this 911's original specifications are a stainless steel exhaust system and a short shifter for the 5-speed manual transmission. This 911 comes with documented history dating back to when it was sold new, including thorough maintenance records, the original owner's manual, the original stamped service booklet and, of course, the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. Factory Widebody 3.2 Carreras are extremely rare and sell very quickly when they do become available - you wouldn't be too far off to say that they're nearly impossible to find. This example has been thoroughly well-kept and fastidiously cared-for since new. It would be a fantastic addition to any collection.
