The 1987 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio offered here is the finest Alfa Spider to grace the floor of the GR Auto Gallery. It was sold new, by Globe Auto Imports of Clearwater, FL on February 17, 1987. It has been the recipient of a passion driven restoration performed by Alfa marquee specialist, Besic Motorsports of Glen Ellyn, IL. The car is highly restored finished in its original color combination of Rosso Alfa over a lovely interior featuring Grey Leather Seats with red contrasting stitching, red carpeting with black over mats with Alfa insignia, two tone black and grey door panels with wood steering wheel, shift knob and brake handle. The car also features its original factory hard top and a new top quality German cloth soft top with padded quarters and hand-rolled binding; toping off the livery is a hard-to-find factory convertible boot with plastic lining. The car was restored to a mild street preparation which includes genuine Panasport wheels with Yokohama summer performance tires, performance brake rotors, lower springs, Koni shocks, all new bushings replaced with combination rubber and poly urethane, complete transmission rebuilt with lightened gears; the engine was complete rebuilt with performance spec connecting rod bolts and precision oil pump, lightened flywheel, new clutch kit, new rubber doughnut, mild port and polish on the cylinder head, custom power coat valve cover, new brake master cylinder, new starter, new alternator, water pump, fuel injectors, hoses, new radiator converted to electric fan, new engine and transmission mounts etc. Mechanically, this Alfa Quadrifoglio is a performer. The car sings through the gears, the steering and handling is tight and responsive and gives great feedback to its driver, the braking is excellent and its Pinnanfarina design is well received in all automotive arenas. The car has been driven approximately 500 miles since the restoration is complete and is one of the Finest late model Alfa spiders you will see.
