Introduced in 1997, the Heritage Springer revived the classic look of 1940s–50s Harley “springer” front ends while delivering modern performance and reliability. Underneath the vintage styling is the proven 1340cc Evolution V-Twin, 5-speed transmission, and Softail frame with hidden rear shocks for comfort. The Birch White with Red pinstripe/ribbon accents was the most iconic and collectible color scheme offered in 1997. It was directly inspired by the 1949 Hydra-Glide factory paint style, which had similar flowing red accents on a white base.
