Used 2003 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage

The Aston Martin DB AR1 Zagato Roadster is considered to be one of the lowest volume production vehicles ever manufactured by Aston Martin. The DB AR1 Zagato Roadster project was born from the success of the DB7 Zagato Coupe, which was not offered for sale in the US market. The Coupe variant was based upon a shortened chassis of the DB7, which due to prohibitive crash testing costs was deemed not feasible to be sold in such low quantities. To satisfy the demand created by the Coupe a special Roadster version was styled by the Zagato coach building company using the standard DB7 Volante chassis to overcome type approval issues. Called the DB American Roadster 1 (DB AR1) the open top model was built after the coupe and in fact final assembly was completed at the New Gaydon plant alongside the first DB9s. Just 99 retail variants were produced, (plus one which the factory retained) with 9 remaining in Europe (8) and 1 right-hand in mainland Europe and 1 left-hand drive. The remaining 90 units were produced in 2003 and shipped to the United States. Each of the United States cars had a base factory MSRP of $240,500 (before options). Powered by the same drivetrain as a DB7 Vantage Volante, the 6.0L, naturally aspirated V12 engine produces 420hp at 6,000rpm and 400lb/ft of torque at 5,000rpm. The 0-62mph sprint takes place in just 5.1 seconds and the top speed is electronically limited to 165mph.
