Used 2006 Mercedes Benz G 55 AMG

Hello and Thank you for viewing another Premium Listing from Progressive Motors. Here we have a Near Perfect 2006 Mercedes G55. Finished in Granite Grey over Black Leather interior, this G55 has been in our possession for the past two years. It started out as a near stock G55 in perfect condition. Obviously, it has undergone a host of cosmetic enhancements to give it a more modern look. (We have pictures from when it was originally traded.) As you can see, no expense was spared. Anywhere you pull up people think you’re in a $200k plus vehicle. Obviously the interior is relatively basic and first gen. This makes things very uncomplicated and easy to maintain. No screens, sensors or modules to go bad. This is a basic military vehicle with just enough creature comforts to make it pleasurable. Being a G55, it comes with the legendary M113 motor. These M113 motors are very popular for their reputation for power and reliability. Not the case with the newer turbocharged G63 motor. They tend to explode even when left alone. The supercharged 5.4L V8 has 469 horsepower and 516lb ft of torque. That’s nearly 200hp more than the standard G500. The 0-60 time was nearly halved from 10.2 to 5.5 seconds – about as fast as a Mustang GT of the era. Pretty impressive for a vehicle weighing 5500 lbs. Mash the gas and the front end stands up as all four tires dig in. The performance is actually shocking especially considering its age. It’s also very nimble being so narrow. It’s only about as wide as a Ford Focus. Most don’t realize just how rare G55’s really are. This particular example cost $105,425……..back in 2006. Just to put that in perspective, that’s what a brand new fully loaded Escalade costs today. They were $25k more than a same year G500. Remember, this was before they were they were the must have for every entertainer, Kardashian or Real Housewife of Wherever. It was just a crazy amount of money for a vehicle that made very little sense on paper. If you’re looking for a Newer looking G Class with modern performance paired with the reliability of the original, this one is for you.
