In fact, the Avalon is basically a stretched version of the previous Camry and uses that car’s 268-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. A mid-cycle refresh for 2008 modified the design with more shapely headlights and a bolder grille, yet the body shape and lines still leave it with fairly anonymous styling.
