When this vehicle originally was designed Toyota was making it for the Lexus brand but at the last minute they decided to put it in the Toyota line up because Toyota, at the time, did not have a 2 door luxury sports car. They had stopped production on the Toyota Celica. The Solara originally was a two door coupe then they introduced the convertible. In 2008 they produced about 20,000 Solara's to be sold in the United States. The convertibles made up about 30% of those. This is important because the Solara was a limited production vehicle with advanced technology. If you wanted one you pretty much had to order one especially a Red Convertible. For us to find a Solara with this low of miles is extremely rare. The V6 engine will bring you plenty of power and the way this was built with all of the quality and craftsmanship of a Lexus you can certainly feel it, even today, the way that this drives. It is quiet, smooth, and it feels fantastic! All the service is up to date and has been done locally. When I tell you that vehicles do not come around like this very often I mean it.
