The car is powered by Audi's 2.0 liter DOHC Turbo Charged 4 Cylinder engine with TFSI Direct Injection paired with the S-tronic 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. This combination generated rave reviews from all publications. The engine demonstrated a large range of power from low end all the way to redline, the shifting is quick and seamless, and the growl of the exhaust is raspy.
