The 2014 Chevrolet 2014 Vol is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) that offers the flexibility of all-electric driving with the reassurance of a gasoline engine when the battery runs low. Charging is easy using a standard 120V household outlet (about 1012 hours) or a 240V charging station (about 4 hours). Inside, the 2014 Volt feels modern and forward-thinking, with a mix of hard and soft-touch materials and a digital instrument cluster. The center console is dominated by a color touchscreen interface and touch-sensitive controls. Seating is for four passengers two in front and two in the rear due to the placement of the battery pack down the center of the car. Front seats are supportive and comfortable for long drives, and the cabin feels spacious despite the Volt's compact size. The cargo area, accessible via the rear hatch, offers around 10.6 cubic feet of space, expandable with the rear seats folded.
