If you want a well-appointed 2-seat convertible with a hardtop roof that protects against the elements and a supple ride quality that coddles on your daily commute, it’s hard to beat the 2014 Mercedes SLK. The SLC has several layers of quality paint, and take care of it and the luster will last several years with little degradation (unless you let it sit out in the broiling southern sun all the time!).
