However, if you're looking into buying any general motors vehicle with the 2.4L ecotec, do your due diligence before buying and you'll find a plethora of defects with this engine from faulty pcv systems that clog up in the cold and force a blow out of your rear main seal while you're driving and without warning, excessive oil consumption, to cheap pins in the timing chain assembly that like to come loose while you're driving, all of which can and will cause catastrophic engine failure. Simply googling the words "2.4L ecotech" will bring up a ton of results related to current and pending class actions against general motors over this engines poor design and GMs unwillingness to correct any of the problems with it.
