- The car was a dream for the first 40,000 miles. It started using a quart of oil every 800 miles at about 45,000. I took it to my Honda dealer and they did a diagnostic on it. They told me everything was normal and to bring it back in 1000 miles. I did and it was a quarter of an inch below the quart low line. Service manager told me his mechanic told him the oil was full and I didn't know how to check the oil. Would not give me my keys until I signed a form acknowledging the oil was full. Foun. that many people have the same problem. My last Honda.
