Used 2020 Chevrolet Equinox LS

Driving the 2020 Equinox LS, you immediately get the sense that Chevy intended this to be a comfortable, sensible compact SUV something that aims to satisfy everyday needs rather than dazzle. Its not a sporty ride, but it isn't trying to be. Its more about utility, commuting, reliability, and giving you what you need at a fair value. The standard engine in the LS is a 1.5liter turbocharged fourcylinder that makes about 170 horsepower and 203 lbfeet of torque. Power gets sent through a 6speed automatic transmission. If you choose frontwheel drive, performance in everyday driving is adequate merging into highway traffic, commuting, running errands it gets the job done. If you have the allwheel drive version, expect slightly heavier steering feel in cold or slick conditions, and a modest drop in fuel economy. Fuel economy is one of its better features. With FWD, you can expect somewhere around 26 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway under ideal conditions. The AWD models drop those numbers slightly. Ride comfort is reasonable. The Equinox handles bumps and rough stretches without being harsh, especially with standard (smaller) wheels. The steering is fairly composed, though not particularly sporty, and acceleration is modest you wont win drag races, but youll be comfortable in daily use. Inside, the LS is minimalist but functional. The cabin has decent space up front and decent room in back five passengers is standard, though back seat space is more comfortable for two adults or adults/children on shorter drives. The materials are basic but acceptable: cloth upholstery, simple surfaces, not a lot of luxury touches, but generally built well. There are fewer frills than higher trims.
