The new transmission is a smooth and the engine is powerful. The new transmission is so smooth you can't feel it changing gears. This is my second GMC Denali Duramax. I debated trading in for over a year and am so happy I made the trade. Trailers always exceed the tongue weight posted on them and in my case it came in at 1450 lbs. That exceeded my truck's posted maximum. The 2020 dually posts a 2,000 lb tongue weight so now I can front load the trailer and that reduces sway. If you can afford it and have a heavy trailer buy the truck!
