With its power, it makes the car fun to drive and still gets great MPG. Like most American auto brands, you can get this vehicle at a significant discount under the "MSRP", making this a great vehicle for the price. So many people complain about the start/stop feature not having the ability to disable. Yes, it I agree it should have it, however, this system is the smoothest I've felt versus many other automakers. Because it is so smooth, it doesn't bother me at all. I usually can't tell when the engine turns off. Maybe this only applies to the 20.L and the 1.5L is more harsh. I'm not sure. Either way, it saves fuel and does its job very well. The Equinox's biggest downfall is the cheap plastics used inside. The most bothersome being the turn signal indicator (yes, I'm one of the few that still use it). It is very cheap plastic and feels like it'll fall off with every use.
