The 3.5L unit powering the previous generation has been worked over and now produces 301 horsepower. In hybrid form, a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine together with 2 electric motors provides a total output of 208 horsepower. For both non-hybrid engines, power is sent to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid gets a continuously variable transmission.
