The 2017 Dodge Challenger SXT is powered by a 3.6L V6 that produces a total of 305 horsepower. That’s nowhere near the top of the pyramid when it comes to raw muscle, but it’s plenty to get this heavy machine zipping up the freeway ramp with ease. If the R/T is chosen, horsepower increases to 372 thanks to the 5.7L V8 engine. With this version, torque is also plentiful, with a total of 400 lb-ft if the automatic transmission is chosen. The R/T also boasts active sport exhaust. With the V6 engine, expect about 6.2 seconds to go from zero to 60 mph, and a somewhat faster time if the V8 is providing the power.
