Although the entry models are very well priced for a brand new vehicle, I chose the Lariat without any upgrade packages as the XL & XLT do not have the current “luxuries” that most would consider standard in a new vehicle.\n\nThe Maverick is the perfect vehicle to suit work and everyday life without breaking the bank.\nPros:\nwell priced,\nwell designed interior with ample storage,\ngood on gas,\ncomfortable seats,\nstrong engine,\ngreat handling and overall feel without the overbearing ride and size of a truck.\nCons:\negine auto stop/start cannot be permanently disengaged,\nsync/bluetooth system can be glitchy on occasion,\nwind noise at highway speed is noticeable,\ adding extras to your build can get very pricey.\nIf you miss the Ford Rangers from the 90’s\n\nIt took me a year, but this past summer my Ford Maverick finally came in. I got the XLT trim with only 2 options, the Blind Spot and the 2.0 Eco Boost engine for more power. So far, it has been a great truck. If I watch my rpm.s, in the econ mode I get 30 mpg around town and on the hwy. The only issue so far is a clicking type rattle in my dash that only happens on certain slow bumps in my neighborhood, once I am on the highway it goes away. Strange. Anyway, if you miss the Ford Rangers from the 90s, this truck reminds me of a 1996 Ranger I used to have back then. It is a very solid truck, loads of room in the cabin, great bed to work with, and since it is front wheel drive I am looking fwd to seeing how it does in the snow this winter. If you order one, get the Lariat, for a few thousand more it is worth it. Hope this review helps ! PS, I was thinking of ordering a 2023 Ford Bronco 2 door, but when I sat in one at a local car show, I realized my Maverick was much more roomier and comfortable than the full size Bronco. I will stick with my Maverick!\n\n2 Maverick Family\n\nReviewed my 22 lariat AWD last year when I’d had it for 2 days gave it a 4 star after owning it 18 months and 29K miles I’d raise my satisfaction rate to 4.7 stars. Great milage averaging 33mpg. Like it so much bought the wife a slightly used 23 lariat hybrid. Like it even better than the AWD after 4K and 1 month ownership averaging 46mpg that’s 75% highway.\nPros:\nmileage on either hybrid or AWD model,\nride is not too bad,\nfells planted to road,\nadaptive cruise/ lane keep/ aeb braking.\neasy to park\nCons:\no power passenger seat,\no fog lights,\ndoor pockets are worthless can’t keep travel mug or bottled water in as they won’t fit,\nice scraper falls out every time open or close door.\no auto dimming rear view mirror,\nbbed leaks with installed cover,\not enough room to adjust power seat with door closed.\nIf Ford would fix a few minor things they’d have the perfect truck.
