In summary, among luxury SUV's, the BMW IX is an expensive but outstanding choice. The SUV's in this class (at the time I'm writing this) include: The Rivian R1S (which is really long, and wouldn't fit in my garage!), the Tesla Cybertruck (but I didn't want teenagers laughing at me), the Porsche Macan (which is outstanding but even more expensive), the Mercedes GLS, and the new Volvo and Polestar SUV's (which aren't out yet).
