The Maverick is powered by a 2L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 250 horsepower and 280 lb.-ft of torque, which is sent to the wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. A hybrid version is also available on the front-wheel drive Maverick with a 2.5L 4-cylinder that makes 162 horsepower mated to a CVT transmission, with the electric motor the horsepower increases to 192. The Maverick is available in front-wheel and AWD as a SuperCrew with a 4.5-foot box, three trims are available XL, XLT, and Lariat. The all-wheel drive model adds the Lobo, Lariat and Tremor trims to the lineup.
