The 2025 NX 450h+, which is the plug-in hybrid version of the NX SUV, is comfortable, fuel-efficient, and loaded with in-car tech and driver aids. Its 37 miles of all-electric range also means you can save quite a bit on gas. Fetching interior, compliant ride quality, impressive EPA city fuel economy. The NX hybrid is appealing for the same reasons as its nonhybrid counterpart: it's one of the roomier subcompact SUVs, its cabin is attractive and premium to the touch, its ride is supple and comfortable, and it comes well-equipped. With its perky plug-in powerplant, the NX450h+ is the quicker of the two NX hybrids, sprinting to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds. The NX hybrid's cabin is appealing and upscale, featuring a modern design and classy materials. The NX hybrid offers one of the more spacious cabins in the luxury subcompact crossover segment, with slightly more passenger room in the rear seat and more cargo space with the rear seats folded than many of its rivals. How's the tech? Our test vehicle was equipped with the optional, eye-catching 14-inch unit. Crisp, easy-to-read graphics and quick responses are appreciated. Hows storage and cargo? The Lexus NX's cargo area can hold considerably more stuff than its modest published cargo volume would suggest. (Lexus uses a more conservative measurement standard than other manufacturers.) It's actually among the class-best, with a wide loading area that's free of wheelwell intrusions, making it easy to load wide, bulky objects. There is no question about build quality and the general stress-free nature we've come to expect from the brand. While competitors offer SUVs that strongly favor luxury over sport, or vice versa, the NX manages to offer a little bit of both without any real detriment.
