Dealer Description
Walking up to the 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie, you first notice its presence. Its substantial big grill, muscular fenders, LED lighting doing justice up front. There's a premium feel even before you open the door, because Laramie is one of the nicer trim levels. Its built to feel like more than just a work truck, but it retains the capability in its bones. Inside, the cabin takes you a step up. The Laramie gets leather trimmed seats with both heating and ventilation up front, power adjustments, memory settings. The materials are better more soft touches, nicer trim, more comfort features so rides that stretch out longer are more comfortable. Tech is modern: you get a large Uconnect infotainment screen (12inch is standard on many Laramies), integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, good sound, plenty of USB ports, options for premium audio if you want to step up. Driver aids and safety tech are well represented. Powertrain under the hood of the 2025 Laramie is compelling: the standard is the 3.0liter Hurricane twin turbo inline six (standard output), producing about 420 horsepower and 469 lb/feet of torque. That gives the truck strong towing capability around 11,40011,550 pounds when configured properly. Payload is solid too somewhere in the ballpark of 1,690 pounds depending on bed/cab/configuration. That means this trim handles real loads and towing without feeling like it's being pushed hard. Ride and handling reflect its premium orientation. With Laramie you often get nicer wheels, better tires, upgraded interior comfort, quieter cabin insulation. You feel confident merging, towing, even just daily commuting with decent smoothness. The Laramie walks the line between work capable and comfort leaning. Off-road or rough terrain isn't its first calling, but when needed it can handle well with the 4×4 options. On the flip side, there are tradeoffs. Big truck size means parking, tight maneuvering, and city driving demand more care. Fuel economy with the twin turbo Hurricane isn't going to match smaller trucks or V6s with simpler setups you'll pay more at the pump under load or aggressive driving. Also, premium features and comfort tweaks cost extra, sometimes in option packages. Maintenance cost tends to be higher the more tech, more comfort, more advanced driveline or hardware you include.
